Thanks for looking so quickly at the threads in the grips. I thought they would have been cast-in. This was probably done to help extract the checkered area from the mold because this mold design was probably difficult to remove by hand (mold temp was very hot) and the screw threads made it easy. Now, the operator had to "un-screw" the grip from the mold pin. Ted, don't laugh, but tasting a pistol can sometimes detect the "copper" taste of cold bluing, just don't swallow, ha, ha Marvin |
