Is this the critter you are looking for? There were some original carbines, but there are also reproductions that were made up by Interarms or Auto Ordinance, or somebody sometime back in the late 70s early 80s I think. The one in this picture is a Navy Arms import that is for sale on GunsAmerica right now.
