Default Luger in Movies

Hey, a real sleeper. A MOB movie with Ol'e Charlie Bronson. "The Valachi Papers" was on TV last night and I finally waved the white flag at 1:30 am (missed the last of it) but I saw at least three Lugers during the first part of the movie, in firing roles. I will try to get a copy of thise on and watch it slow mo some day. There is a copy of it on Ebay right now and it is the original Uncut Italian version. I love Charles Bronson movies and I love Lugers. Thor

Also, "Shadow of the Vampire", which was recently released, employs a Luger to establish that it is very risky to use only a 9 mm round to attempt to put down the undead. It actually was a fairly interesting and well-executed movie.

In addition, my wife had "Charade" on the TV last night, and I just happened to walk by and observe Walter Mathau with some good close-ups of his Luger in the final climatic scene (although you could not ascertain the manufacturer, you could see that the gun had strawed parts--for some reason, my wife appeared underwhelmed by this revelation). I also seem to recall from seeing the film many years ago that there is a Luger water pistol used near the beginning.
