Just got back from the G-M auction preview day in SF...
Luger # 2346 was indeed sporting a pair of good condition Ritzmann HK grips. Most of the dozen or so lugers were pretty tired and worn. None piquing my interest... Saw some nice PP's, PPK's, and a few p-38's... Every gun that came with a holster (lugers and others) were stored in the holster. I guess this allowed more display table space. But I sure would be mad if I had a gun at the auction...everytime a prospective bidder wanted to look over the piece...out and into the holster it goes. I can see many of the guns being cycled into the leather at least 100-300 times this weekend. Imagine your piece not selling, coming back to your home with a heck of a lot more holster wear ? Do not know what the auction folks are thinking, here.. Many guns very close to each other on the tables and in the racks. Heard lots of metal-to-metal "clinking" noises as I walked the showroom floor... Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |
