I am developing a database of Weimar police unit marks and so far have a number of similar marks recorded. Several have an earlier mark "S.L.Pol." x'd out like yours. They have been identified as Schutzpolizei in the state (not Prussian Province) of Sachsen (Saxony).

S.P./C. - 1 (Chemnitz)
S.P./D. - 5 (Dresden)
S.P./L. - 7 (Leipzig)
S.P./M. - 1 (MeiÃ??en)
S.P./Zw. - 3 (Zwickau)

I would very much appreciate knowing the serial number (w/ suffix) of your Luger or at least the first few digits. Thanks very much.
