Hi Tom,
I looked through my atlas of the old Germany, which includes the "lost" lands and I couldn't find any town or city with a name beginning like that. It sounds more like a district of a larger city. I'll check it out with my German friends tomorrow, if some better informed person hasn't answered you first.
