Bob,

My buddies had nothing to SHOW. They had plenty to say over the beer! They didn't laugh the next time I said I was taking my revolver.

All this was before handgun hunting began to get really popular. (Am I giving away my age?) I got free beer by using my S&W 29 to best a guy with a 30-06 on paper in camp the day before opening. Case of he hadn't even bothered to make sure his scope was sighted in versus I had been practicing with the S&W 29 at 100 yards on a regular basis. This used to be a sucker bet if you could find a guy you were sure hadn't had his rifle out of the closet all year.
