Hello Tom,
Truly my friend, the equivalent of about US$2000 is what I paid. That is top dollar here. Our collectors have not yet reached the 21 century as far as gun prices yet. A beautiful pair of 17th century cased dueling pistols with all the accessories in mint condition sold for NZ$30,000 which is around $13,500. They would have fetched $30,000 pounds in London England.
In the car boot sales out side the auction I picked up a excellent 1914 P08 holster, a very good 1916 P08 holster, a 1916 P08 Long holster with board stock and straps all imperial marked, another board stock on its own and a very nice second model 32 round snail drum mag., all from one car boot for a total of $2500.00 which is US$1125.00.
I am really sorry if I have upset you, but as I said earlier, collectors here have no idea.
But the way, today in the sun light I found the Crown stamp over the M on the 1916 Naval holster and the three crowns stamps in the Danish WW2 Naval holster so I am quite pleased.
Kind regards.
Murray

PS, I am going to the SAR show in Phoenix in early December this year and I would like to meet up with some of you guys again if possible, are you going to that show?
MWW.
