Hi RK! Yes, I totally agree... There are way too many neat guns, old and new.. at the Phoenix SAR show I really got an eye full of neat modern weapons... distracted me from the collectibles somewhat.. And, I definitly feel for you on the deer rifle tragedy!! I have ruined many a good deer rifle in the same manner! I had never even thought about a possum playing possum??? Sounds like an ambush tactic to me... I got chased by an enraged muskrat one time, with a still hot, empty, MK 1 Ruger in my hand... The retreat certainly wasn't text book.. and he had this increadible leaping ability, which I, for some reason lack?? I can still see the flashing teeth, It was a trap all the way... I barely escaped with my ankles intact ... Also learned another very valuable lesson that day... the longer the barrel, the better the club!!! After they lock open,(follows a dazzling display of shooting!) 4" barrels are for throwing...6" and longer are for clubbing... AND, only shoot at muskrats that are on pavement of some type, as they are at a distinct advantage in an ice and snow environment!... Pretty harrowing tale to tell right before Christmas, But hell, I was there!! Best to all! til...lat'r...GT
