Holster Rework Challenge...
I have challenged Jerry B. if he might be able to perform some of his holster restoration magic on this rather doggy 4" Audley holster I picked up along the way.
If the patient lives through the surgery, I will post "after" photos...as well... Thanks, Jerry B. for taking to time to see if you can continue your magic on this pitiful holster... Regards, Pete... |

Pete,
I would caution you against actually using the holster. That spring loaded retaining mechanism will scratch the bejazzus out of your pistol trigger guard. Tom A. |

I used to have a holster with that gizmo in it that fit a S&W Model 19... I sold the holster (and the gun with the scratches)...
The clip is made of soft brass, but enough rubbing will wear away at the finish on the trigger guard.

Thanks for the tip, fellows...
Someone, awhile back on the LF, had posted similar warnings...if I recall, maybe Mr. Wood... I did wrap a shooter luger with saraan wrap when I first got the holster home just to see how the trigger lock gismo worked...but will not be placing a gun in it very often...if at all... Regards, Pete... |

Pete,
I guess you realize now that Jerry has plugged that hole that you won't be able to do any "quick drawing" with your artillery?
