At the risk of disagreeing with someone whose opinion I value, I do not think this is a GNR. The GNR is a really unique holster with a double belt loop that extends well above the top of the holster. I believe that the A.E. means "Arsenal do Ex�©rcito" or Army Arsenal (this per Bender). You are right about the small number of GNRs. I feel lucky to have a very nice example with an equally nice holster. I think the production number is 564.
