Hi Josef,
Congratulations on that beautifull pistol! Definitively a keeper! You are right about the Grandfathering for Prohibited ( 12 ( 6 ) ) pistols in Canada. But those individuals like you & me can possess them & enjoy them! The actual reference date for the 12-6 Class was Feb 14 1995 BUT Senate has recently moves it to December 1st 1998 ( Date of the New Gun Law ) so individuals that had prohibited pistols ( 105mm & less, 25's, 32's & 380's ) until Dec 1st 98 WILL get their 12-6 Permit back and be allowed to possess prohibited pistols! I have a personnal friend in that situation. He was obliged to sell his 2 in .38 when the LAF ( Loi sur les Armes a Feu ) came in effect. He'll now be getting his 12-6 Class back!...He's already shopping for a 2 1/2 Stainless 357 The baddest aspect of this 1998 Gun Law is that they have classified the 4 inch Military Luger as a Prohibited pistol! To me it causes a big problem cause NO pistol can be imported in Canada and we have to live with what's available up here. I dont know about Collector supply running short?? but I have been looking for quite a while now for a 41-42 to add to my III Reich Category...needless to say without luck! Will I ever find that one in Canada?? Some available in the US! ( Import Prohibited! ) THIS part of the Gun Law is affecting ME! <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" /> kidvett
