Our kids are all grown and living their own lives, but I had the privilege of having my oldest grandson here for Father's day and the rest of the summer!
Andrew and I went to the new Smithsonian Air & Space Museum Annex at Dulles Airport to spend the day on Saturday... After hours of enjoying seeing all the historic aircraft and spacecraft, and one of the IMAX movies about Helicopters, he and I decided to grab a quick bite at the Subway that is in the museum building... and who walks by and sits down to enjoy lunch with his family? One of the American heroes of our time... One of the original 7 Mercury Capsule Astronauts and the first American to orbit the earth in outer space: John Glenn.  What a privilege for me to meet this space pioneer while with my grandson! Andrew will remember this day till he is the grandfather in this family!
