An issue of the Luger Journal by Robert B. Marvin is posted for sale on e-bay dated 1972. I was temporarily out of the Luger collecting "business" then and have never heard or seen the Luger Journal. Does anyone know for how long it was published? Who is (or was) Mr. Marvin. How is the information therein looked upon today. Did visiting authors participate? Would appreciate info from our "old timers".

Well, Doc, I am not an old timer...
I did buy one from the seller who lives in Florida. I e-mailed him to ask his background, but never got a reply. I think I might have even asked here on the Luger Forum about Mr. Marvin, but never got a reply... The $ 12.00 book is a "home made" publication, but the copy/printing process used is very bad and the whole darned thing is very difficult to read... I bought this after I had 12 other luger books, so did not learn anything that was not written by another author before... If you want to borrow mine, send me your home address again (via private message or e-mail) and I will loan mine to you for a read... Sorry, I did not keep your street address after our shooting outting together last month... Regards, Pete... <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" /> |
