You're probably most likely to see D^D on Lithgow made .303's or on a Martini .310.
I would think that this marking on a Luger would be "as rare as rocking horse poo" in your part of the world.
Unfortunately, due to Mr Howard's constant war on recreational gun ownership in this country, D^D on a Luger, or indeed a Luger itself is now almost "as rare as rocking horse poo" in this part of the world.
