1920 comm. safety bar relief??? Unusual??

GT, Thanks for the photo. Now I know where the cut is that you asked me about. In checking some of my safety bars, I did find a few Mausers with some filing in this area. I suspect that it was part of the fitting process to have the bar go all the way down, when in the off position. For those who don't know, the easiest way to tell one made by Mauser (serials centered) from a DWM (numbers to right of center). TH
