John,
All of my Mauser pistols from 1934 on have aluminium base mag. The "G" date does and my Persian P08 Long up to the type 4 mag which is plastic. The GNR was made around 1935. Looking thru Kenyons books it seems everything Mauser made from 1934 onward had Aluminium. Being seperated from the books is nearly as bad as being seperated from the collection. Kind regards.
