Doubs User Join Date: Jun 2002 Location: Byron, Georgia Posts: 1,742 Thanks: 826 Thanked 1,787 Times in 590 Posts	Thor, according to the "Standard Directory of Proof Marks", the eagle is a post-1950 Suhl final proof (doesn't mention it being military) and the C/U is a post-1950 Suhl Inspection mark. The book does state that after proof firing, a visual inspection is performed.
