I am not an accomplished Luger collector, but I have accumulated a couple over the years. However, I do not know how to place a value on them. I do not have any pictures as they are in a safe deposit box at the moment. I would appreciate any honest estimates of value. I am considering the sale of both.
1: A 1916 DWM military, matching serial numbers, matching magazine, 99% (no rust, scratches, original blue and straw). The gun appears unfired. I base this on the fact that there does not appear to be any worn areas on the bluing of moving parts or evidence of brass on the breech block face. 2: 1920 DWM military, matching serial numbers, non-matching Hanel Schmeiser extruded aluminum clip, an honest 90% gun. I thank you all in advance for your help and thoughts. Jim Gentry |
