My advice is to not store guns in safe deposit boxes because:

1. In the event of your death the feds take immediate possession of the contents of the box, and who knows what will happen to the gun?

2. You never know what the box next to yours has stored in it. It could be a stash of dope or some chemical which gives off corrosive fumes which will damage your pistol.
