Default Bring back 1916 DWM Police

My Dad brought this back from France in 1945. Got it from some surrendering German troops. 1916 DWM double date police. SPD marked which I believe is Schutzpolizei Potts Dam. Ser# is 666 and all matching except for the take down lever which some dumb ass 12 yo kid, Me, broke trying to get it apart. The holster came with it, never asked Dad if that eagle pin was on it when he got it or he put it on.

Guy,
Cut on front of receiver suggests this was originally an LP-08.

Thanks for sharing, Guy. One of mine is basically the same thing: DWM military, property-stamped 1920, converted from LP.08, used by police. It also has a quirk involving the takedown lever. During one of its times being worked on by armorers, probably Weimar era, a leftover Erfurt-proofed takedown lever was installed and numbered to match. It likely went to the hospital another time, because it has a Nazi-marked barrel. That it arrived in a holster that had been converted from military style closure to police style is another clue to its last use before it was "retired," although it never had a sear or magazine safety. How 'bout some more pics?

Does it have a "W" between the grip and the trigger guard? If so, that is also an indication of prior LP08 status.

The font on the 666 on the barrel looks different than the rest.
