Default Nice work when you get it

Ok, finaally got my Broomhandle back, beautiful work, I am very happy with it.

I would have been happy with the 2 plus years to get it done if I had been told that up front. Instead I was told about 2 months turn around, then got the run around and some outright lies along the way. This really was not encouraging after paying the full payment up front. Every gunsmith I have ever delt with sends their finished work back and then an invoice.

Eugene may be a craftsman but his business style is not very profesional. Can't think of any reason to go back to Lugerman again.

I think we would all like to see pics of it. Perhaps a thread in the Off Topic and Other Firearms sub-forum.

Here are a few pictures of the Broomhandle Lugerman replaced the barrel on.

This firearm had already been reblued and the berrel lined somewhere in its past. The barrel began to show signs of something wrong when it sterted keyholeing, so I opted to have Lugerman cut off the barrel and weld a new one on.

Tried it at the range, it shot very good groups but about 1 foot high at 50 feet. That is another story for the next post.

Default Broomhandle Front Sight

Tried it at the range, it shot very good groups but about 1 foot high at 50 feet.

See pics below.

I made a mockup of the front sight modification out of black masking tape. I had deturmined it needed to be about .100 inch higher. After verifing at the range I made a steel insert to attach to the front sight with epoxy.

And glued it on.
