Unless I'm mistaken, your 1917 LP.08 also has the fine tune front sight. The lack of a suffix letter under the serial number on the frame means it was made early in the year as part of the first 10,000 block manufactured. The fine tune front sight was the first feature later in 1917 production dropped to simplify production. Second to go was the fine tune rear sight in favor of a fixed blade without adjustment.

From your pictures you appear to have a truly nice Luger. You did well.
