Further, the number 2 at the base of the barrel may be part of what was originally "8,82" which is the bore diameter in mm and common for a 9mm.

Please confirm that the bore is 30 caliber. My best guess at this time is that a 1913 ~ 1914 9mm barrel was used to repair that Luger sometime after WW1, possibly while in Weimar Army service.

Yes it is a 30 cal barrel, thank you for your info, but the barrel does appear to have a "liner" in it....not sure but I can post a pic
