Heckler & Koch does own one of the former Mauser buildings, the so-called outer works, but Mauser and the now defunct Mauser Messzeug were still in the old premesis. The military branch of Mauser is still on the same site, under Rheinmetall.

The original cloister was sold back to the town and now houses the police, mayor's office and a concert venue.

The upper works were sold to the town in the 1960s and made way for a school.

Currently, the museum is located in the former Schwedenbau.

Heckler & Koch are located at the top of the hill in a large new building.

In the 1970s and 80s, most of the pistol assembly work took place in a nearby town, Schramberg-Sulgen.
