I just think rail should have been a bigger priority. I spent a year in Germany and grew to LOVE their rail system. Travel in luxury, read the paper, stare at the scenery and have a glass of wine..At the end of the line a REAL car would take you to your final destination. This is how a civilized society works. It was the one thing that was so disappointing about returning to the states. No train service. Our love affair with the automobile is like being married to an ugly fat woman. yeah, she might get er done but ho much sweeter would the ride be with a little hottie and her doing the driving!
