Mike C., while not in time related order, I think the attached photos will give you the general design of the case. You can see the paper patch layout of the original concept. Kind of sloppy, huh? You can see how the various turning rests allow the Lugers to hang in place by gravity. The slot mechanism on the base provides lateral stability by hemming up the very bottom of the magazines.
