I agree with Lyn that this is a very nice rig, however this rig most definitely had a magazine safety as Doub's has mentioned so the left grip is NOT original to this gun.

To help clarify Doub's point here is the required cut out for the magazine safety ... a picture is worth 1000 words.

Thanks. That's what I saw as well. The left frame rail being cut for the safety, with a portion still in the slot. However, the grip panel is not cut for the mag safety, which, if it were original, would be. I do have a penchant for the police guns, for some obscure reason I'm not able to put my finger on.
