I think the last two years were the first time that 'tornados' actually/officially touched down here in [Western, central] New York State. I just noticed this morning that the local news station ["Spectrum", used to be Time-Warner, I think) has a probability of hurricane on the weather screen, along with rain, hail, wind, whatever. That's new; they never had 'hurricane' before.
