good evening
ron, ed, i checked to books from sturgees to görtz, i feel certain, this P08 marking is done trying to raise the value of an old little wood-box. meanwhile i think in this box never a luger was carried, least of all with a holster see the picture, i does not fit at all nevertheless i try to find out what was carried in this box, maybe a howitzer optics, etc.... any ideas ?? regards from a windy day, here in austria wolfganggo ...

The only other "08" I come up with is the Maxim 08. Perhaps an optical sight for the Maxim?
