I'd suggest some reading - just about any book on Lugers would be a good start.
DWM: Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken is the primary weapons procurement entity for the German government from about 1996 - 1945. It changed names several times. You can google it pretty easily (Wikipedia). Look for some books on Lugers - sometimes they come up for sale here and many are on Amazon, too. |

If the OP's Luger functions correctly, then he has a great 1st Luger to learn from and enjoy. It has been buffed hard in some spots and hot blued, but that doesn't affect the functioning. Congrats on your 1st Luger, and be sure and give us a range report.
