Yeah, and a great place to learn if you're not afraid of making a fool out of yourself by offering opinions about things which you think you know but in fact do not. :-) It is indeed the bore diameter, in millimeters, and a common sense pause (especially from one who lived in Europe for six years) would have revealed that to me before I inadvertently misled a fellow newby.

Excuse me while I get my beauty sleep. I'm going out tomorrow morning to shoot my newly Thor-reblued Erfurt, with its shiny, white 8,82 millimeter bore! A full report will be forthcoming.
