Not unusual at all; caused by the "geometry" of the ejector - as Ron said.
Sometimes you can change the angle of the blade of the ejetor a little and improve it, sometimes not. If you don't reload, and maybe even if you do- not a big problem; but those steel cases are Berdan anyway- so I doubt you will be reloading them.
