I was able to take some more pics of the pistol. There are several of the underside of the barrel showing the BUG proofs and the caliber diameter markings. The "bruise" is just the away the light looks in the picture. I gave close examination to the front of the trigger guard and I see no marks that indicate a refinish. There are no halo's on the BUG proofs, some of the proofing is actually polished off.
