Larry, it's very unlikely that the side plate was made by the DWM factory. The external profile is quite unusual and different from the parts turned out by DWM.
This is why John would like to see both sides of the plate. Understand that very few gunsmiths have any experience with Lugers, which is why a reference to Gerald was included above.
