Thanks for the advice all.
Went to the range for the second time finally, with 150 fmj rounds of Federal 124 gr, WWB 124 gr NATO, and Fiocchi 124 gr.
The Federal American Eagle was the best performer.

It had no issues unless it was a full mag, thus I think I am down to the magazine being the last issue, as no matter what ammo is loaded full capacity, it hangs up around the 2/3 shot in. The NATO was the worst. Fiocchi also FTF about 4/8 rounds each time. Quite annoying.
But I’m making progress. I’ll try some MecGar mags with AE and should be good...

As you can see, I am using polymer Swiss grips temporarily. I have been in contact with Jim Solomon who will be re-profiling the original wood grips in either Borchardt or P08 style pattern (haven't decided), and will re-enforce the right grip with metal braces to prevent the lateral movement and literal self-destruction. These polymer ones also are slipping (pictured) so I will need to drill the retainer hole and use the grip pin on them also it seems.
