I agree with the above with one small exception, all positively identified (stamped Eagle/2) Luftwaffe holsters are black. That does NOT mean that all black holsters are Luftwaffe.

Yes, I have one. The holster on the left in the photos is a 1916 Adolph Schwartz & Co. pebble grain in it's original brown color. I think it's standard practice in all the world's navies that when the men have nothing else to do, have them paint the ship (or dye their holsters). By 1916 they had something else to do. Norm |
