for the information. I'm definately going to build one of those babys! I've always been interested in shortening and modifying auto pistols. I did a couple of 1911 Colts way back B4 they were commercially available. I had a WW2 Luger in mind for the conversion. Its finish is all gone, pitted extensivly on the right side and the bore is only fair. I'm hesitant to use it though because it is all matching (xcpt the mag). Perhaps my 'phone book' luger will be the one to undergo the operation. I have already completely polished and reblued it and scrubbed it of all the different #'s (NOTHING matched!) xcpt the frame #. Its a good shooter with a VG bore. Maybe I'll try posting a picture of the two and you guys can offer your opinions. Thanks again..
