Don's comments are spot-on. I can attest to his pricing comments based on my own recent search efforts - acquiring a mid-condition M1900 is on my shopping list and I have passed on several fully functional pistols under $2,000. The major issue with acquiring M1900s at good prices is that they are not as common as many later variants; it requires a bit more time and work to find them at favorable prices.
