I second Ithacaartist's comments. Yes there good YouTube videos on taking Lugers apart, and yes there is a wealth of knowledge on this site and the other Luger site. But, in my opinion taking the time to learn about Lugers is a big part of the fun of owning one and the main reason for studying up on them.
To new Luger owners I recommend spend a few enjoyable hours looking at YouTube videos, browsing the forums. Then perhaps invest in an inexpensive magnifying hood and a set of dummy rounds (snap caps) so you can inspect all the parts for cracks or damage and verify the pistol is operating correctly. |
