Default Jim Waddle Jan. 25, 1944--May 31, 2017

I am sad to forward the news of the passing away of my friend and Luger collector Jim Waddle, after an all-too-brief battle against pancreatic cancer. Jim was a quiet collector of high-quality Lugers and other C&R pistols, a regular participant at the Reno gun show and shows around the Portland area. Like many west-of-the-Rockies collectors, he did not venture far from home. Jim was very generous. He invited me into his home to provide the opportunity to photograph a large number of the pistols profiled in "Police Lugers". He was an active collector trader, and a number of his Lugers grace my own collection.

Jim will be sorely missed.

Rest in Peace, Jim... Condolences to his family and friends.

Dwight, I am very sorry to hear this.

Jim gave me access to his Simson numbers and his wisdom, I had talked to him on the phone and email for years.

Sad day.
