I've done this a few times and never had a problem. Now all of a sudden the pistol will not fire the firing pin. I have watched U tube and have a manual to do this. Any suggestions? The 'S' lever seems to engaging OK.

It is possible to reassemble the sideplate with the tab not engaged in the slot in the gripframe. It can be easy to overlook. I know this from experience.

Make sure that the little button in the forward end of the sear bar is free to move forward and is not stuck in the rear position.

don't dry fire it - you can break the tip of the firing pin off
