Feedback on 1940 42 Mauser

Ed,

Very nice addition, the Luger is very pretty! On the first photo of the right side, I noticed what appears to be "file" marks on the frame. I have seen this on a number of Lugers and one of my 1941 Lugers has this in the same area. On my 1941, the area with the "file" markls is about twice as wide as yours.

I was wondering if anyone knows the reason or if this is just speeding up the final frame clean-up by the finishing folks???
