Thank you for the extra photos. I agree this gun appears to have original finish, and it's in top condition. Nice matching mag adds considerable value to this early 1913 Luger.

Actually this gun was manufactured before the DWM factory started regularly installing the hold open spring on new guns (the later ones all have it). And you are correct - it was never added, so this is a more scarce example without the hold open.

I was not suggesting you gun was re-blued. What I was referring to is the font of the "2" on the extractor looks funny to me. It has a big curly loop at the top of the 2, but it should really match the other small "2" stamps on the gun. I've never seen one with a big loop like that - or is it just that picture makes it look funny - or maybe it's just my eyes?

Also the '2" on the takedown is buggered up. But I suppose it could have been made in a hurry on a Friday night right before bier uhr!
