Default are surplus lugers pretty much gone?

Reading the $600 shooter luger thread got me to thinking. R guns had those $599 russian lugers about three years ago. I sortn of wished I would have bought one then.
What's the opinion of some importer find in another cache or lugers and bringing them to market? Jim

I'd expect it to happen periodically. No reason to doubt that there are crates of them left in some Slovic warehouse.
If they can import them and sell at a profit, great.
There were some Swiss Lugers released about a year ago.

Any thing is possible.

You can still buy one- just not $599!

The Israelis have recently been selling a fairly large number of FN Hi Power pistols on our market. I bought one a couple of years ago that was pristine refinished with a parkerized finish. They have a small Hebrew glyph stamped on them representing the unit that they were assigned to.

I wonder if their Lugers were sold of much earlier... These were 1990 vintage guns.

I remember a ton of P38's, but I seem to have missed out on any $599 lugers. The last group of surplus lugers I remember were sold by Brooks (?) and they were like $899 and up I think. I haven't seen east german or russian since the early 2000's
