I am partial to 'nice looking shooters' myself. Solutions seem to be:
1. Modern Mauser, 1970s era. 2. WWII or earlier nice restoration or an attractive pistol that lost value due to a part mismatch; takes time and effort to find these. 3. Reasonably priced collectible Mauser Luger that fits the definition of 'nice looking' and substitute the small parts that are most likely to break such as extractor, firing pin, ejector, toggle pin, grips, perhaps even the entire toggle assembly. I view the risk of breaking a major part like a frame or receiver or barrel on a Mauser as low. Last edited by 4 Scale; 11-20-2016 at 10:43 AM. |
