The P226 is a very popular, light weight, intuitive to shoot, easy and logical designed to disassemble, clean, and inspect properly. (it's chambered is several different calibers and there is a .22 conversion kit.)
It's a good vest gun, good for concealed carry, but with it's 4" barrel, it's going to be hard to shoot accurately. It's made for close quarters, self-defense use. It's not particularly picky about ammo, either - handles target loads and hot loads well, although you may want rubber grips. ( I have large hands and find that gun harder to grip - my little fingers ends up under the magazine). I can't shoot the PPD one with glove on, either. Personally, I prefer the Springfield XD series ( I like the grip safety's ) |
