Frame relief
Would it be reasonable to assume that the frame relief & U notch could be done by the owner or local smith rather than send it off to an arsenal to be modified. Seems like a simple task for the skilled Swiss. This might explain the lack of a third # stamped into the right grip. Would also explain the lack of an arsenal refinish.
