Thanks much, mrerick. I'd never, ever buy a stainless luger. Most likely what I'll look for is one of the post-war Mausers with the P08 frame. I do see nice-looking 1920 commercials (30 cal., of course) now and then at a price I might be willing to pay. Missed buying one at the LGS years and years ago; bore was "lightly frosted." Otherwise it was very nice, and the "frosting" most likely wouldn't have made a bit of difference. Price was about 500 bucks at the time.
