I know there are some [especially on GB] who think the bringback papers "add to the value of the Luger", but I have never thought that. They just show who originally owned it (besides the German).
Think about it - Do you show your present wife your first marriage certificate and tell her that it adds immeasurable value to that marriage??? Do you display it with the picture of your first wife??? Of course not! It's just a piece of paper, worthless now, since it no longer belongs to you. The Luger or the wife. ![]() Now, if it was the bringback paper that your father/granddad brought back with the Luger you inherited, then it would be like his wife [your mother/grandmother] and their marriage certificate. You would display it proudly - it's your family!!! ![]() Someone else's bringback paper is someone else's family. Why would you care about a marriage certificate from some guy you never heard of??? Or his wife's picture??? Makes no sense. ![]()
